Practical tips to feel better when you're sick

This is our fourth day sick at home. But we're making the best of it with delicious comfort food and good movies. It started out real healthy as you can see on the picture above... and theeeen we just gave in and ordered a lot of pizza and fries. 

For common, acute (short-term) illnesses like the cold and the flu, there are some things you can do to make yourself feel better. While you’ll still have to let the illness run its course, you can at least make things a little more bearable with some practical tips.

Stay hydrated. This will help to replace any fluids you lose due to your illness, and ease congestion.
Drink warm beverages and/or soup. It can provide relief from a host of symptoms (including coughing, sore throat, and congestion). The warmth will also provide instant comfort.
Let getting better be your top priority. The more attention you can give to taking care of yourself, the better the chances that you’ll get well soon.
Get lots of sleep. Take frequent naps when you are trying to feel better or make sure to get an 8 hour sleep.

And last but not least, eat a lot of pizza. Haha, not really, eating healthy is very important for the body to heal faster, but we do try to make the best of days like these by pampering ourselves a bit. Even if it means postponing our healthy new year for a few days ;)
