Today I'm sharing a few of our favorite date ideas! You can combine some of the ideas to make a whole day-date, or mix and match to fit your mood ♥
Me and Aron hang out all the time, but being intentional and planning ahead some special quality time is both fun and important!
Going on dates doesn't always have to mean draining your wallet at fancy restaurants. There are plenty of affordable and entertaining dates you can go on with your significant other. After all, it's really the time you spend with them that matters and not how much you're spending on the dates.
We did this a few times before we got married. We would drive 15 minutes out of town, with cheese, crackers, drinks and warm blankets. We'd lay down by the lake and watch the stars and northern lights, and talk for hours. It's one of my fondest memories from when we were dating.
#2 Cook Together
Trying a new recipe together is a lovely way to be creative and spend time together. We do it every Tuesday!
#3 Poker Night
Board games are a super simple way to have quality time together at home. We love to have poker nights, with good snacks, good music and candles.
#4 Go to the arcade
Become a kid again! It's a fun way to get a little competitive and playful with your special someone.
#5 Listen to live music
Go to a local concert and listen to music you both enjoy!
#6 Plan a Picnic
On warmer days you can prep some delicious foods and mimosas to enjoy in a park or out in the nature! Use your phone for some mood setting music!
#7 Go sailing together
This is my kind of date activity, I love the ocean and I love when we have gone kayaking or sailing together. Go to the ocean on a good day and rent fun sailing equipment that suits you the best!
#8 Take a road trip
It doesn’t even have to be an overnight trip if you’re busy! We love taking short road trips in busy seasons, just to get out of town, to enjoy the scenery and each other. Day trips are a wonderful way to unwind and have a great time exploring with your partner.
#9 Go out for breakfast/brunch
Going out for dinner is a classic, but going out for breakfast or brunch is a lovely way to mix things up and start the day with your spouse!
#10 Go biking (or long boarding)
Exercising, exploring and having fun! What’s not to love. This is a great date idea for when the weather is good. Go to your favorite spots with your bestie and enjoy!
